Sealed Air film offers low shrink temperature

13 October 2006

Sealed Air says it has revolutionised the wrapping of plastic office desktop items such as filing boxes and trays, with a packaging film that offers improved strength and soft shrink to make it a versatile product with good optical properties.

Cryovac Xenith X20 is designed to wrap the type of product that can easily distort as well as irregularly-shaped and heavier items.

Sealed Air says that in comparison trials using Sfere L-sealers, the Xenith X20 out-performed “numerous” other films in terms of cost reduction, production results, re-shrink possibilities, low tear propagation, ease of use for operators and presentation.

Due to a low shrink temperature, users can expect to cut energy costs and, in the trial, waste was reduced and output increased.
