A high profile advertising campaign featuring images of animals across three thought-provoking executions which "injected humour into an often technical/industrial-led market" and highlighted the company's "leading edge" packaging design capabilities has won SCA Packaging two top awards at premier advertising and marketing industry event The 2005 GRAMIAS (Grocery, Advertising & Marketing Industry Awards).
Winning the GRAMIA Gold for Trade Press for its "Animals" campaign, where it pipped Silver winners Maynards, Clover and Utterly Butterly and Southcorp Wines, SCA also scooped the Special Judge's Award, successfully fighting off strong TV, radio, outdoor and national press campaigns.
SCA's campaign, conceived by UK trade marketing agency Mercieca Communications, ran for six months across core retail, FMCG and packaging titles (including Packaging Today) aimed at brand/marketing, procurement and logistics personnel.
The GRAMIAS (Grocery, Advertising & Marketing Industry Awards), judged this year by a panel comprising representatives from companies including Kellogg's, Diageo and HJ Heinz, as well as advertising agencies WRCS and JWT, were launched in 1994 by The Grocer magazine to recognise performance in the competitive FMCG market by rewarding both client and agency.
