Sonoco has extended its Safe-Top paperboard can opening system, previously only available for 73mm diameter paperboard cans, to include containers of 99mm diameter.
The easy peel paper/foil membrane is adhered to the rim of the can and a plastics over-cap offers product protection after opening. A range of material options are available offering a hermetic shelf-stable can with moisture and oxygen barrier properties.
Safe-Top, in can heights from 70-275mm, may be customised by printing the membrane in up to six colours in a random pattern.
