Flexibility for shelf ready packaging (SRP) lines is being offered by food packaging automation specialist Abar, thanks to its new loading system by Fanuc Robotics.
An M10-iA robot is the core automation component of the LR-80TCR, said to allow loading of thermoformed and top sealed rigid trays at speeds of up to 200ppm.
The system comprises retail pack in-feed conveyors, a case erecting system for Regular Slotted Containers (RSC), an LR-80 robot case loader and a case closer.
It has been designed to operate non-stop duty cycles and will allow upgrades to returnable plastics crates or other containers, says Fanuc.
