Robot raises palletising potential

13 October 2008

Fanuc’s new 410iB series palletising robot has an increased payload capability of 700 kg, with an arm that maintains the high speed capability of the range.

Operating over a standard pick and place test cycle, the arm performs 700 cycles per hour, at 100 per cent duty cycle, providing a potential palletising throughput of 490 t/hour. At 490 kgm2, the new arm is claimed to have the highest inertia rating in the palletising sector.

Staying with the proven configuration of the 410iB series, the base of the four-axes arm is configured to occupy a small footprint of just over one metre square, whilst its elevated articulated arm design allows it to palletise a 1.6 m square pallet by 2.1m height.

Fanuc says the 360 degree work envelope suits the robot for servicing multiple palletising stations with multiple conveyor inputs.
