Riverside joins long-running soap story

13 October 2006

Two bottle sizes for an anti-bacterial handwash duo from Yorkshire's century-old soap manufacturer John Drury & Co are being produced by Riverside Plastics of Pontypridd, South Wales.

The 250ml bottle is from Riverside's standard range, with a new tool put down for the 500ml unit. Both products are being launched through Booker stores, while Morrisons will introduce them this autumn.

The bottles are extrusion blowmoulded in natural HDPE, with pumps supplied by Bespak for the 250ml variant and Seaquist for the 500ml. Labels are from SA Labels of Keighley.

“The emergent personal hygiene product now is liquid soaps, shower gels and shampoos,” says Edward Drury, director and fifth generation member of the founding family of Drury soap makers.”
