Rexam’s aluminium Fusion bottle is to debut in the UK this spring, with the launch of a range of green tea-based beverages targeting the on-the-go market.
According to the metal packaging specialist, the distinctive shape of the 250ml Fusion bottle distinguishing Teasy from other 250ml slimline cans in the energy drinks sector, giving Teasy “great stand-out on shelf and a premium positioning”.
The aluminium Fusion bottle, produced at Rexam’s Ejpovice plant in the Czech Republic, also safeguards the contents from harmful UV lights, while allowing impact pasteurisation, ensuring taste is not compromised.
Jonathan Middlemiss, founder of Teasy brand owner Honesty Foods Ltd, says: “Rexam’s global reach, combined with its excellent customer service, made it the ideal partner for an entrepreneurial food business like Honesty Foods.”
Initially produced in two flavour extensions, Green Tea & Chamomile and Green Tea & Peppermint, Teasy will be available to buy in major supermarkets and coffee chains in the UK from spring 2014.
