Ready meals training at Packforum

21 July 2008

Foodservice company Packforum has linked with Cryovac Food Engineering, the Sealed Air Cryovac organisation in charge of providing training courses for food professionals, to provide customers with the food processing and packaging engineering know-how essential for the successful development of high quality convenience foods.

The first of the courses offered by Cryovac Food Engineering is on Microwave Heating. Future courses will cover Food Preservation: Process and Packaging Technologies, as well as Sous-vide Cooking, in conjunction with the Alain Ducasse school.

Packforum has recently installed a state of the art food demonstration and training area designed to host training sessions for up to 25 attendees in comfortable surroundings with direct access to a demonstration kitchen. A multimedia system will enable attendees to take away a DVD of the actual demos, recorded live.

In addition to the food demonstration and training facilities, they will have access to a packaging machinery hall said to be equipped with some of the most leading edge systems.
