25 February 2010

The German subsidiary of Nicholl Food Packaging Group is investing in excess of €100,000 in hygiene certification and new IT systems, to enhance its customer service and response and develop its business throughout Germany, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe.

Bachmann Aluminium Packaging has achieved HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) accreditation. This is linked to the company’s existing ISO9001 quality standard and includes the implementation of comprehensive procedures and monitoring processes.

In addition, Bachmann has been awarded Normpack accreditation, confirming that its packs meet the quality and hygiene requirements of Scandinavian countries.

Bachmann has also invested around €70,000 in a new warehouse management and inventory control system. This provides regularly updated information from raw materials through to finished goods, helping to create a more efficient production and storage operation and enabling a faster response time to customer orders and queries.
