Proseal says its new GT5 tray sealer incorporates a number of technical developments and enhancements to enable it to achieve in excess of 200 trays per minute across all pack formats, in twin configuration.
According to the UK-headquartered heat sealing specialist, the GT5 tray sealer machine has been developed to be “completely adaptable” in order to handle any type of packing operation including atmospheric sealing, MAP gas flushing, Vacuum MAP sealing, skin packaging below and above the flange, and Skin Deep, which allows a 100mm protrusion of product over the top of the tray.
“The aim of every new Proseal tray sealer is to take performance and ease of use to another level,” says Proseal director Steve Malone.
“The flexibility of our new GT5, combined with its high speed capacity, means food manufacturers have a machine more than capable of meeting both current and future production requirements.”
The GT5 features new Proseal technologies Pro-Motion, which speeds up the infeed of trays to the sealer; and Pro-Tect, an advanced user login security system.
Pro-Motion uses following motion and intelligent buffering technology to enable trays to feed continuously into the sealer without stopping.
An auto-detect product flow monitoring system regulates the speed of the infeed conveyor according the amount of trays being supplied.
An enhanced servo film feed and rewind system reduces machine duty by around 75%, while further energy efficiencies are achieved using Proseal’s recently launched E-seal technology.
The GT5 is constructed to food industry approved hygiene standards with full wash-down protection, while a new compact design and improvements to wiring systems have simplified daily maintenance.
