Developed following feedback from customers, the company says a major priority remains the need to maximise throughput, but that this has to be balanced with shorter production runs to accommodate continual new product development and recipe variations for different end customers.
Proseal says speeds have been maximised thanks to features such as servo-controlled pack transfer and self-centring pack guides. Other useful features include automatic film snap and film end detection.
The full wash-down protected GT2 incorporates a menu-driven control panel for ease of set up and operation, which can be remotely accessed and controlled. The screen also provides production data, production monitoring and full diagnostics.
The “Auto Tool” connection system enables tool changes to be carried out in around three minutes and downtime is also minimised via quick-change conveyor belts and an auto-lock film reel holder.
