Promens launches Slidissime ‘touch & slide’ airless pump cosmetics system

1 November 2013

Promens has developed Slidissime, a premium airless jar with a tactile ‘touch & slide’ pump, designed to allow fully protected cosmetic creams to be released by a simple slide.

According to the France-based cosmetics packaging specialist, Slidissime combines “modernity, ergonomics and sensuality” in one jar.

A dose is delivered by the system through a narrow aperture located at the extremity of the touch & slide pump, via a simple slide on the membrane activated by a touch and slide movement.

The aperture closes after each dosage, avoiding any air-intake and drying of the formula, meaning the formulation has no contact with either air or the user’s fingers.

“The slide of the finger on Slidissime is similar to the natural gesture of a caress,” the company says. “Slidissime combines pleasurable beauty rituals with airless protection.”

The Slidissime system is an airless jar consisting of a collapsible pouch and an ergonomic flexible airless pump made of four parts, protected by two international patents.

Conceived with materials compliant with Food Contact EC directive, Slidissime is compatible with most formulae found in the cosmetics market.

Slidissime is a standard system in the Promens premium cosmetic jar collection, with two 50ml references available: Diamond (luxury jar with thick walls adapted for prestige skincare collections); and Quartz (simplicity of a compact jar, adapted for skin care ranges).

A tailor-made solution, it can be coloured, lacquered, metallised or decorated in-house with hot stamping, silk-screen or pad-printing.

In addition to the standard range, the airless jar technology (pouch and tactile pump) can be integrated specifically into any existing brand jar range, and it can be adapted to other sizes.

Adapted to existing filling lines, the standard shape of the jar and the atmospheric top filling method enables easy filling. “The snapping of the flexible touch & slide pump followed by the screwing of the cap avoids laying the seal on the jar,” Promens says.
