The PPMA Show 2008 has been hailed a ‘’great success‘’, with a total attendance figure of 11,607, including a total registered visitor attendance of 9,775. Organiser Reed Exhibitions adds that 3,580 of the registered visitors crossed over from the neighbouring Interplas plastics exhibition.
“The excellent attendance is clear evidence that even in difficult economic times, exhibitions have a valuable role to play,” comments show director Liz Finlay. “Exhibitor reaction has been extremely positive, with many stating that they were delighted with the number and high calibre of visitors, the level of enquiries generated, and the business concluded.”
As a consequence, she says, there was a surge of bookings for the 2009 exhibition, which will run from September 29-October 1. So far over 4,000 m² of space has been taken by companies including ABB Robotics, Advanced Labelling Systems, AVE UK, FlexLink, Integrapak, Interfood Technology, Ishida Europe, Marden Edwards, Markem-Imaje Business Group, Rovema Packaging Machines, Schubert UK, Sealpac, Tendring Pacific, and Videojet Technologies.
