Positive outlook for 2010

1 September 2009

Recent research undertaken by Reed Exhibitions, organiser of the Total Processing & Packaging 2010 show, has found that 69 per cent of respondents are expecting that they will start to see an economic upturn during 2010.

The survey, conducted on exhbitors and visitors to Total, revealed that 76 per cent of respondents expect order activity to start rising even earlier, at some point during the second half of this year.

While conditions remain tough for many companies, the vast majority still recognise the value of both marketing and new product development: 89 per cent agree that it is important to maintain and invest in these activities during a recession. And 67 per cent say they will continue to invest in equipment in the coming year.

Total Processing & Packaging will take place from May 25 to 27 2010 at the NEC, Birmingham, UK.
