Portion packer for mix and match

Optima's CFL is a newly developed portion packing machine which the company says can accommodate up to 20 tracks, allowing an output of 1000 containers/min.

Exhibited at last month's SCAA coffee and coffee processing trade show in Atlanta, the space saving system layout has all the key processing components mounted to a support frame above face level.

The line can be fitted with compression, gassing and sealing stations and a variety of capping devices and supplemented with labellers and barcode printers. It can be used to pack a wide range of dry, powdery, grainy, lumpy and granulated products.

Optima says the machine's excellent accessibility simplifes servicing, while its flexibility means a wide range of different creative product mixes can be easily accommodated including promotional packs containing a combination of biscuits and, say a special coffee container.
