Polymer expertise and problem-solving on tap

5 May 2004

Packaging companies, material suppliers, retailers and brand owners working with plastics can now take advantage of a new technical advisory, short-term development and problem-solving service introduced by FaraPack Polymers, a joint venture between Faraday Packaging Partnership and the University of Sheffield's Polymer Centre.

The lab-based resource will offer packaging expertise and technological know-how to solve technical problems and develop innovative materials, drawing on the expertise of at least 150 scientists specialising in polymer technology. Fees will depend on the complexity of individual r+d, analysis and testing projects undertaken, with Faraday Packaging members getting discounts.

Faraday Packaging plans establishing more FaraPack resources shortly, initially focussing on packaging's design and sensory aspects.
