Point-of-Sale display unit is fast mover

18 June 2009

Designed for products that need quick and simple replenishment, the new Sirocco Point-of-Sale (PoS) display system is said to allow retailers to maximise their use of time and space. The unit was designed by Smurfit Kappa Zedek, in Leicester, and has been patented across Europe. Current customers include Nestle.

The Sirocco is shipped flat-packed in one outer with trays and a header. To assemble, shelves fold out instantaneously once opened, ready for stocking with a customer’s retail ready packs. The unit can be fully branded to match individual product or store designs, printed both inside and out in up to four colours, with foil blocking, metallic prints and embossing finishes available. One-quarter, one-sixth and one-eighth pallet sizes can be ordered.

Smurfit Kappa says that, though comparative in cost to other PoS displays, the Sirocco will deliver significant supply chain savings.
