Pocket shot pouches from Amcor

26 July 2007

With a distinctive miniature bottle-like shape and tear notch for easy opening and dispensing, the 50ml flexible pouches are gravure printed and converted by Amcor Flexibles Schüpbach, Switzerland and pouched at Amcor Flexibles Europouch in Denmark. They are made from a proprietary three-layer laminated film utilising a special grade PE especially developed for water and alcohol by Amcor Flexibles Raackmann, Denmark to prevent taint.

Jarrold R Bachmann got the idea for the portable shot of a range of 40% alc/vol distilled 80 proof beverages after seeing workers at his South African farm buy “simple, crude, 25ml plastic sachets of alcohol to celebrate payday”.

Five varieties - Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey; Imported Caribbean Gold Rum; Premium Triple Distilled Vodka, London Dry Gin and Especial Gold Tequila are currently on US sale, with several new pack sizes “in the pipeline”.
