Pizza Express appoints Sun Branding Solutions to rejuvenate 'Cook at Home' range

Pizza Express has brought on packaging specialists Sun Branding Solutions to help refresh its 'Cook at Home' supermarket range. The agency, which won the work following a three-way pitch, will replace Pizza Express' incumbent to lead on the artwork. Sun Branding Solutions' primary responsibility will be to increase colour consistency and quality across packs.

The reinvigorated artwork will also encompass other signature 'Cook at Home' dishes and condiments. From pastas and dressings to garlic bread and dough balls, the improved designs will incorporate more product imagery and richer colour management. Sun Branding Solutions' graphics team begin working with the brand this month with the new packaging due to arrive in supermarkets in Spring 2016.

Sun Branding Solutions was recommended to Pizza Express following brand consistency work with HJ Heinz. As with HJ Heinz, Sun Branding Solutions' digital capabilities will feature heavily as part of its remit for Pizza Express. Tying in with the inauguration of its packaging launch software-tool Sunrise, Sun Branding Solutions will offer state of the art management across the full artwork approval process.

Paul Bean, managing director at Sun Branding Solutions said: "Pizza Express' 'Cook at Home' is a fantastic project to get our teeth into. It's great to be working for such an iconic brand, especially on a campaign that really plays to our areas of expertise. We look forward to developing our relationship with Pizza Express across its full supermarket offering."
