PCD Congress 2014 to feature Hermès and L’Oréal executives

Francis Chaveau, deputy managing director in charge of industrial affairs at Hermès International, France, will be giving a keynote speech on the second day of the PCD Congress in Paris, Thursday 6 February 2014.

Chaveau’s address at the 10th annual Packaging of Perfume, Cosmetics & Design show, held at the Espace Champerret in the west of the French capital, will focus on:

  • "The environment at all stages, from product design to end-of-life"
  • “Securing the future of our fields of activity”
  • "The importance of supporting French SMEs"

Having worked with Hermès International for some 10 years, Chaveau holds an engineering degree from the Ecole Centrale de Nantes and an MBA from Chicago University.

He began his career with Valeo (Suze plant director) followed by Carnaud Métalbox, MD of Kerplas, AMS Europe, Astra Plastique and Zeller France.

At the 2014 PCD Congress, the conference programme on the Thursday will be hosted by L’Oréal executives Pierre Ducastin, director of packaging innovation at, and Olivier de Lataulalde, finishing techniques & printing expertise, glass expertise.

The Thursday presentations will begin at 09:15 with sessions on ‘Secondary packaging, labels, customisation and taking the environment into account’, followed by ‘Colorimetry: consistency from formulation to pack’.
