Payne launches new tea tear tape

7 July 2009

Specifically developed for tea bag applications, Payne’s new String & Tag Tape tear tape product is said to provide an effective means of joining the bag to the string and tag commonly provided for consumer convenience and branding purposes.

Payne’s solution is tested and approved for use with IMA’s high-speed C2000 tea bag machines, and the company says it is supplied on lightweight, long reels for fewer changeovers and easier handling.

“The widespread use of string and tag tea bags, allied to the desire to move away from a stapled solution, means that manufacturers need both a high quality product and superior service,” says Michael Love, category manager of Payne. “String & Tag tape from Payne is manufactured to the same high standards as our tear tape solutions and ensures we are able to offer a more complete service to the tea market, with the proven back up of a global operation.”
