Paxar printers score big name retail successes

1 September 2006

Wagamama has chosen the Paxar 9825 printer and labelling materials, supplied by Paxar EMEA, for stock identification UK-wide.

Its noodle restaurants are supplied with freshly prepared sauces, stocks and meats from a central kitchen in London. Labels must be printed to clearly identify when prepared goods were made, the batch number and use-by date.

The Paxar 9825 prints waterproof, hard-wearing labels designed specifically for kitchen environment use and, in the event of supply chain issues, batches can be traced and recalled efficiently.

Fashion retailer Madhouse is also trialling Paxar’s Monarch Pathfinder Ultra Platinum 6039 printer to prevent errors during markdown labelling. Files can be stored in the unit and updated with daily price lists; labels are then printed directly from these lists to eliminate data entry error.
