Padless base retains the drips

19 May 2006

Linpac Plastics’ new LINpro RSA range of trays for MAP tray sealing fresh poultry portions incorporates a “unique” patented padless base.

The polypropylene trays are said to retain the market’s highest drip volume within specially designed recessed rings. Their high absorbency reportedly removes both excess drip and any accompanying bacteria, which Linpac says further extends shelf life and ensures a fresh, clean product without the use of “unsightly” pads.

Clear or tinted versions are available, while the range’s modular design means users can get the best from storage and handling in crates and Europe pallets. The special base design enables denesting at very high speeds, which Linpac says “makes for perfect machine handling”.
