Packaging workshop

5 May 2005

Businesses are wasting large amounts of money each year through inefficient packaging - and changing legislation and market demands are making it an increasingly important issue.

In most cases it is possible to reduce packaging while keeping it fit for purpose, helping reduce your obligation under packaging legislation too.

A free workshop offering businesses ideas and advice on how to tackle packaging waste is being held in London on Tuesday 17 May, hosted by the IoP - The Packaging Society and Envirowise, the government funded programme giving practical advice to businesses on resource efficiency.

Experts will be on hand to answer questions about specific packaging needs including Clare Campbell of Envirowise.

The workshop takes place at the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, 1 Carlton House Terrace, London, between 9.00am and 4.00pm. For more information or to book a place go to www.envirowise.gov.uk or call the Environment and Energy Helpline on 0800 585 794.
