When Polish confectionery manufacturer Mieszko wished to enhance the look of its new A’Madorro chocolates packed in large format boxes, Marden Edwards supplied a S4BX225FF individual large format pack overwrapper to do the job.
The machine can wrap pack sizes between 75 x 55 x 17 mm and 450 x 300 x 125 mm at up to 40 packs/min. Mieszko produces a range of selections in differing box sizes and one of the factors in choosing the new overwrapper was its capability for very rapid change-overs between sizes.
The near-hermetic seal gives the appearance of a giftwrap and has the additional advantage that it can extend shelf life of the product and enhance its freshness. The wrapper also incorporates a tear tape applicator.
The new machine joins three other Marden Edwards overwrappers at the Polish company, including a high speed WR500 mode with a production rate of 75 packs/min on a presentation box 450 mm wide.
