One-Pak adapts J-Series trigger for Roots Out

27 May 2012

Plastic packaging components provider Global One-Pak has incorporated a three-finger trigger design into a bespoke version of its J-Series trigger for the Roots Out weed killer product in the UK.

The three-finger trigger design is said to reduce strain on the hand of the user – an important consideration for such applications – and features a spray and stream combination nozzle design that allows the user to easily identify whether the nozzle is in the ON or OFF position.

Priced at £6.99, the 1-litre sized Roots Out weed killer – the flagship gardening product in the Future Developments range – will be competing with a number of other well-known brands in the UK market.

Global One-Pak director Clive Broadbent says: “We pride ourselves in providing innovative and bespoke solutions to help our clients maximise their sales potential when going to market.

“With Roots Out we believe we’ve excelled in this area by making the product more ergonomically friendly for a range of users including the elderly.”

The robust J-Series trigger system is also designed for handling large bottles containing aggressive active chemicals, such as herbicides.

Future Developments sales director David Williams says: “As a market leader in chemical products manufacturing, we’re continually looking for innovative ways to give our products a leading edge. GOP’s bespoke trigger system has delivered against the brief, by enhancing the Roots Out pack design to provide the end user with a comfortable product to use, which we’re sure will help with repeat purchase.”
