Available in the UK through Gordian Strapping, Italy-based OMS is launching the IS45 high-speed stretch hooding machine.
Employing an innovative and patented method in which one hood is applied to a pallet while the next is being produced and opened, the IS45 machine is capable of hooding up to 250 pallets per hour.

Among numerous features, the IS45 boasts mechanical fingers that open every bag so no bags are wasted regardless of static build up.
Motorised air mandrels hold the film reel core tightly and prevent damage, so that the cores can be returned to the film supplier to be re-used, thereby reducing packaging waste.
The stretch group is motor driven, and is therefore “quieter and less complex” than hydraulic systems.
And film reel changeover is quick and easy – one of the two reels can be changed while the machine continues to operate.
