Northern Packaging Dinner moves to December

28 June 2007

Wilmington Media, publisher of Packaging Today, will be jointly sponsoring the dinner, while the event will be again be supported by the chosen North West charity beneficiary - Manchester Kids.

The Northern Packaging Dinner Committee (Bill Hodge, Frank Hughes and Darren Kaye) has moved the event from its usual timing of early November both to avoid a potential clash with an annual London awards ceremony and so that the dinner takes place outside a school holiday half-term period. The organisers hope the December date will also enable many companies to utilise the event as a Christmas gathering for both staff and customers. Early interest is reportedly “very positive”.

Last year's Northern Packaging Dinner, the 50th in the event's history, raised almost £4,000 for Manchester Kids, which was used to give inner city children, many of whom had never enjoyed such an experience before, an “educational holiday” in North Wales.

Tickets for the 2008 Northern Packaging Dinner are limited, and available on a “first come, first served” basis. A table for 10 costs £600. For further details and/or hotel reservations E: NPD@prestigeres.co.uk
