No static in label family

29 May 2003

ExxonMobil Chemical Films Europe has renamed and repositioned its Label-Lyte Lithor family of anti-static films.

The new range comprises 70micron LTR 742 (formerly LX002) white opaque matt, two-sided coated anti-static film for offset, UV, gravure and flexo printing.

Alternatively, 65micron LTR741 (formerly LX001) is a white opaque glossy multi-layer one-side anti-static, one-side corona treated film suitable for rotary print applications. Humidity and alcohol resistant, 50micron LTG702 (formerly XA002) is a transparent one-side modified acrylic and one-side anti-static coated label film that can be UV offset, gravure and flexo printed. LL247, now named 47micron LTL247, is superwhite opaque with two-side anti-static lacquer.

Commenting on the repositioning Tarquin Crouch, product manager for ExxonMobil Chemical Films Luxemburg, said: "Established cut and stack technology and the abundance of low cost machines make the use of Lithor anti-static films attractive.

"The growth in printing possibilities such as high quality offset and short run printing mean more potential for flexibility and creativity in label design."
