Newman helps allergy specialist step up production

HAL Allergy, an international specialist in the fight against allergies, is stepping up production after installing a high-speed Newman Labelling Systems NV2 labeller at its Dutch headquarters.

Labelling at HAL's plant had previously been undertaken manually in a “time-consuming operation”. The NV2 is being used to label a glass dropper bottles, with and without overhanging caps, in very small quantities at up to 50/min. The packs range from 2-50ml in size.

“We are making more and more products, but the labelling process was slowing us up,” says HAL process engineer Helen Stuart. “Now we are labelling 4,000 bottles in half a day when it was taking us a week in the past.”

The NV2 is a fully automatic, self-adhesive labeller for cylindrical, flat, square and oval containers, which can label 10-150mm containers with minimal change parts.
