A&R Carton and LGR have joined forces in the European micro flute market, as equal owners of EMIcorp SA, a new company based in Brussels.
LGR Emballages specialises in healthcare and pharmaceutical folding cartons and corrugated litho printed boxes, with expertise in offset printing and in-line lamination.
“It will be a great advantage to have access to the superior technology developed by LGR,” said Per Lundeen, CEO of A&R Carton.
In return, A&R Carton will bring its strength in sales and marketing throughout Europe, added LGR’s CEO, Torben Reine.
A&R Carton, headquartered in Malmö, Sweden, employs 1,750 people, with net sales in 2009 of €340m.
LGR employs 620 people at nine production plants in three European countries and reported net sales in 2009 of €120m.
