New food and drink packaging show for 2007

9 March 2006

A new food and drink processing and packaging show, Pro2Pac, is to be launched at London’s ExCel conference and exhibition centre next March.

Being staged by FreshRM, the organisers of what is claimed is the UK’s largest international food and drink exhibition, IFE (the International Food and Drink Exhibition), Pro2Pac will be co-located with IFE, and take place from March 18-21, 2007.

Sue Woodward, exhibition director, says: “Pro2Pac is the natural successor to the hugely successful Foodex@IFE held for the first time in March 2005. The event showcased suppliers of food and drink processing equipment, technology, machinery, systems and solutions alongside IFE and attracted over13,000 visitors.”

Prop2Pac has the backing of, and will be organised in partnership with, the Processing and Packaging Machinery Association, the PPMA, whose ceo, Chris Buxton, says: “Since our inception, the PPMA has always prided itself on listening to our membership’s expressed wishes. Our involvement with Pro2Pac reflects this commitment and recognises our continued efforts to support equally our process members as well as those involved in machinery. It also addresses our desire to build upon our presence in the food sector.”

The PPMA will have a significant presence at Pro2Pac, with a members’ pavilion and lounge at the heart of the show.

In addition to seeing exhibiting companies, visitors will be able to enjoy a central exhibition feature, Future@Pro2Pac, organised jointly with the Packaging Innovation Show, showcasing future processing and packaging trends for the food and drinks industry.
