New Allen laser coders "set new benchmark"

15 January 2007

Allen Coding Systems says its new LaserSystem Plus compact laser coders, “ideally suited” to use in the food, beverage, personal care, pharma and household chemical sectors, “set a new benchmark in laser coding performance”.

Based on proven CO2 laser coding technology, the K1010 10-watt and K-1030 30-watt coders are “compact and easy-to-install” into primary packaging lines for producing static or dynamic codes onto substrates including plastics, varnished and anodised metal, glass, paper, coated and printed cardboard.

A full colour touchscreen terminal or optional handheld device enable product, package and code changeovers to be accomplished quickly with minimum operator training.

The new laser units also incorporate a high-speed marking head, Ethernet interface and integrated air cooling. By changing lenses the marking area can be extended to 250 x 250mm.
