NatureFlex, the biodegradable, compostable, flexible film from Innovia, has won prizes in two major packaging awards.
First was the prestigious 20th DuPont Awards for Packaging Innovation. The winning entry was submitted in conjunction with Earthcycle – Canadian manufacturer of trays made from agricultural bio-mass palm fibre. The trays protect the integrity of fresh produce such as kiwi fruits, which are then overwrapped with Innovia’s NatureFlex NVS film.
The judges of the DuPont Awards decided the Kiwi Fruit Pack excelled in the areas of sustainability, innovation and quality.
The other accolade for Innovia was the Packaging Association of Canada’s Gold Sustainable Packaging Leadership Award – together with the Gold Sustainable Packaging Innovation Award.
