South Africa based Nampak is selling its European cartons and healthcare businesses to transatlantic investment company Platinum Equity, following a strategic review.
Nampak Cartons supplies the food and beverage sectors from two UK sites and third in The Netherlands. Nampak Healthcare manufactures cartons, leaflets, labels and blister pack foils for the pharmaceutical industry from 11 sites across Europe.
The group also supplies milk and juice bottles to dairies in the UK and South Africa through Nampak Plastics, which will remain in the group and is not affected by the transaction.
