MeadWestvaco North Carolina packaging plant has received Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain of Custody certification.
MWV’s Mebane operation supplies printed packaging materials to global pharmaceutical companies, and is part of the company’s overall healthcare packaging solutions that promote patient adherence to medications.
The facility is already certified by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI), and the dual third-party validations of MWV’s sustainable fiber sourcing practices help assure customers and consumers of the company's responsible environmental stewardship, says the company.
