Mornflake unveils "most radical packaging revamp" in years

3 September 2007

The company says it expects its new flexo printed block-bottom bags, produced from a 65 micron PE / 30 micron OPP laminate, to increase on-shelf stand-out and draw consumers to its product range. The new designs, conceived in-house, will be seen firstly on the Mornflake porridge range and then rolled out across the full product portfolio.

“The aim of the bright new modern packaging is to increase Mornflake’s visibility while enhancing the cues to the natural attributes and health benefits of oats,” explains Allan Cullom, the company’s retail sales director.

The packs will be supplied to retail outlets in shelf-ready outer cases; their capacity has been reduced from 20 to 10 packs to allow easier distribution.

Packaging producers include Alcan, Mayr-Melnhof and Bischoff & Klein.
