Minerva for Müller

13 October 2006

Dairy product company Müller has added a Rose Forgrove high-speed 80 wraps/min Integra flowwrapper to the existing portfolio of Merlin and Minerva machines from the same supplier at its Market Drayton, UK factory to help meet a six-fold increase in demand.

In the past five years annual demand for flowwrap/sleeved products packaged at the facility has grown from 60 to 400m pots, and Müller wished to lower staff and other overheads while increasing throughput.

“It is Rose Forgrove's responsiveness that keeps us coming back, and here, because of its adaptive, advanced programming, the Integra was successfully added to the existing portfolio of Rose Forgrove machines,” explains Gary Highfield, raw material/repacking production manager.

The Integra accommodates a wide range of product sizes, includes gull-wing style main doors for easier access and maintenance, a high quality infeed conveyor chain for maximum reliability, product-stack height verification and no-product sensors, and automatic film splicing.
