Customer sales and service requirements for Garvens checkweighers and Safeline metal detection and x-ray inspection equipment are now served from a single entity operating from Mettler-Toledo's UK headquarters in Leicester. The changes have been made "to address changes in market demands and legislation for the food and pharmaceutical industries". Mettler Toledo promises improved service levels, with support provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week via a dedicated telephone helpdesk and a team of "strategically positioned" field-based engineers. In addition, customers will only need to have one point of contact "to advise on and deliver the full range of product inspection solutions".
"We have been listening to our customers and have seen the move towards a requirement for complete inspection systems," says Mike Bradley, newly appointed sales and service business manager. "We believe the new division will address this customer need."
