MetalFX wins business 'oscar'

The UK's National Business Awards, acknowledged by The Chancellor of the Exchequer as the UK's 'Business Oscars', took place in front of 1300 business leaders and VIPs at London's Grosvenor House Hotel. Sky News filmed the event, which took place last month.

MetalFX beat off stiff competition to take the title of 'The Business Innovation of the Year' at the awards. The Leeds based print and design technology company has pioneered a software system from which over 104M metallic colours can be printed, using a five-colour press. The reproduction process needs no modernisation for printers as the fifth colour – the special MFX silver ink – provides the metallic effect as the base, on top of which the usual CMYK colours are printed.
