The EASeSET consortium (incorporating PPMA, techn-ology consultancy Pera Innovation, Glenmorangie, Arcall, Tetra Pak, Wirebelt, Giusti, Ginsters and Antycip) says "the toolkit enables procedures to be easily customised to bespoke requirements, updates to be provided via electronic media, and
fault diagnosis and rectification tools defined that enable problems to be resolved on site". The model creation tools are designed for "non-technical" staff.
EASeSET says the toolkit can help reduce production waste due to incorrectly performed set-up or changeover procedures "by assisting operators through an intuitive visual electronic instruction".
