Linerless closure with scavenger

Bericap has developed a screw cap with an oxygen scavenging feature based on its DoubleSeal, a cap that is used for carbonated soft drinks.

The DoubleSeal O2S is said to have an oxygen scavenging capacity of 3mg.

Holsten has selected DoubleSeal O2S for use on a multilayer PET bottle and its new PET line for beer.

Said to be more cost efficient than Tapsid BO2S, the cap can be pasteurised and will perform identically on other PET bottles.
