Lateral thinking for two

21 October 2003

German pack manufacturer Pfeiffer has developed two new takes on dispensers for the cosmetics and toiletries markets.

The Side Actuation system replaces a vertical spray mechanism with a lateral pump. Its sideways design means the pump protector cap is rendered unnecessary. It also provides the ergonomic benefit of allowing the product to be dispensed while the flacon remains in hand. A variety of materials and contents can be used with the Side Actuation System.

The Rotation Dispensing Pen has been developed by Pfeiffer to avoid perfume leaks. As the dispenser relies on a rotating button mechanism, it is no longer possible for the pack to be involuntarily actuated.

Various filling volumes and materials are available for the Pen, including plastics or aluminium. It can be used for sprays, gels and creams.

The developments are currently only available as bespoke products.
