Late stage line

At Fachpack 09, Atlantic Zeiser launched the PackageLine, a complete system for digital late stage customisation of packs.

“Late stage product differentiation is becoming an increasingly important function in commercial printing, packaging and labelling,” explains Alexander Dietrich, product manager digital printing and coding systems. “This allows companies to create cost efficient packaging and labels that target specific markets and customers, along with improved branding and marketing campaigns. PackageLine is designed to address this emerging need, as well as to make it easier implement other late stage variable package marking capabilities.”

The PackageLine has a modular format and is designed to allow easy integration of Atlantic Zeiser’s drop on demand (DoD) inkjet printing technologies into stand-alone transport platforms for late stage pack personalisation and track and trace operations based on variable data. It can be used with a variety of packaging processes, including flat packs such as blister packs and cards, and folded or glued packs. It can aso mark a wide range of materials and substrates, including cartons, foil, plastics and aluminium.

PackageLine features include: an Omega printer line available in print widths up to 210mm, with resolution up to 720dpi and speeds up to 120 m/min; a Gamma 70 full colour inkjet printing module with two production modes in one (wet-on-wet and pinning) printing up to 360dpi at 24m/min with a print width of 70.5mm; a Delta 105 UV high speed grayscale printing module (up to 600dpi in widths of 105mm at up to 120 m/min; and the Braillejet for digital Braille font printing with BrailleVision camera system.
