Label boost

10 February 2005

Independent self-adhesive label supplier Norprint has recently spent over £1m on two new Mark Andy LP3000 narrow web flexo presses to boost its productivity.

Chosen for their high running speed and ease of makeready, the eight-colour 17in web width machines incorporate corona treaters, web reverse, delam-relam and UV lamination.

Norprint currently supplies 6.7bn labels, tags, tickets and labelling systems annually to over 3,000 companies in Europe predominantly on paper-based substrates.

However, to help develop new markets with filmic materials, it is discussing with Mark Andy the fitment of rotary screen technology to the new presses.
