Krones, of Germany, has found it can ‘strikingly’ cut the changeover time for moulds in its Contiform stretch blow-moulding machine.
The semi-automatic MouldXpress Advanced system integrated into the blowing wheel shortens changeover from about 3.5 minutes to less than one minute per blow-moulding station.
The different mould sets are kept securely in a changing trolley. Clear identification of the moulds in designated compartments helps reduce the risk of installation errors. And by using a ‘rotating function principle’, the removal position is always the same for the operator, adds Krones.
