Kosme machines enhance jams' premier feel

7 January 2008

The labeller, initially set up for wet glue label application, has replaced a competitor machine, which Premier says was “unable to maintain the production standards we set”.

The system needed to be able to apply both body and back patch labels, with an optional “lollipop” label where the tag is secured beneath the body label to provide tamper-evidence. The main brand bespoke design glass jar has circular rims top and bottom, encompassing a non-symmetrical oval body shape. Mechanical pack orientation is necessary for accurate label placement, accommodated via base notch orientation, with a throughout of 500cpm achieved.
