Kite Packaging Scotland expands

Kite has acquired Packaging Cases (formerly Packaging Scotland) and will trade as Kite Packaging Scotland under Mike McCole and continue to operate from Cumbernauld convenient for the Glasgow–Edinburgh belt.

Kite Packaging Scotland says it will continue to benefit from the Kite’s financial strength, supply chain, Enviro product range, preferred supplier relationships and new development capability.

Kite Packaging is an employee-owned packaging distribution business operating from six sites in the UK. Its stated aim is to grow by organic growth from existing operations, acquisition and a branch expansion programme, which began in June 2010.

Kite says it focuses on large users of packaging that require mainly bespoke product. Services include stock and serve, just-in-time delivery, direct line feed and vendor-managed inventory.

The Kite Group also includes www.thepackagingstore.co.uk, a web based distributor covering the B2B and B2C sectors, also Kite Environmental Solutions, which operates a government-approved packaging regulations compliance scheme.
