In a first for cereal packs Sonoco has developed a twistable pack which offers a truly interactive experience.
Being used by Weetabix for its Weetos cereal, the 22ml Twister-Pak paperboard can features an internal fixed body wall with litho printed outer segments which carry images in three cartoon designs. Children can then change these image structures by rotating the rings. The cereal is packed in an inner bag and inserted into the can which is sealed by colourful plastics plug lids.
Sonoco has patented the Twister-Pak technology. It is being used for cookies, confectionery products and dietary powders, with new projects underway.
