Keeping it simple

9 September 2003

Designer Brewer Riddiford has managed the re-launch of the Simple Skin Defence For Men range of shave and skincare products from Accantia Health & Beauty (formerly Smith and Nephew).

Having originally created the packaging, Brewer Riddiford has now revamped it in response to research indicating a male consumer preference for clear-cut communication when it comes to buying facial care products. With much of the current hype surrounding men's skin care failing to translate into positive sales, Accantia has also rationalised its Simple for Men offer down to nine products.

The new presentation is more appropriate for the target market, with the total range's practicality aided by chunkier pack structures. The brand is now reliant upon the use of semi-transparent tubes and actuators, which reveal the mechanism.

Aerosol containers have been produced by Carnaud Metal Box, and the labelling by Harlands.
